For Shepherds

Your work demands precision

The people who come to you are not looking for competing perspectives or therapeutic reframing. They need to know what Scripture teaches, and they need a pastor or counselor who has done the work to answer that with confidence.

It will never do what you do

GraceHaven will never do what you do, and is not designed to try. It holds no spiritual authority, no relational presence, and no standing in the life of a congregation or counseling relationship. It cannot shepherd, rebuke, restore, or bear burdens with another person. Those things require you.

What GraceHaven can do is handle the informational heavy lifting and assist with the exegetical groundwork — with discipline — so that more of your time is spent doing what only you can do.

Discipline without compromise

GraceHaven handles theology with discipline and without compromise. It operates from a presuppositional, grammatico-historical framework.

No false balance

It does not offer balanced perspectives on questions Scripture answers.

No conflation of debate with doubt

It does not treat unresolved scholarly debate as an absence of biblical authority.

Clear distinctions

It distinguishes between what the text establishes, what is probable, and what remains disputed. It says so plainly.

Zero-knowledge encryption for sensitive material

Sessions are unencrypted by default. Members who never engage encryption never encounter it.

For those handling sensitive material, GraceHaven offers zero-knowledge encryption. When enabled, no staff member, administrator, or third party can read the content. Not anyone. Enabling encryption requires acknowledging that encrypted content is permanently inaccessible without the member’s passphrase. GraceHaven cannot recover it under any circumstances.

Encryption can be toggled at the session level, or set as the default for all new sessions in Account settings. The control belongs entirely to the member.

Built for your work

Pulpit membership is built for pastors, elders, and ministry leaders who need more than a study tool.

Pulpit Membership

Everything in Scholar — unlimited sessions, nested folders, Greek and Hebrew interlinear, 340,000+ cross-references — plus Teaching and Exegesis modes that change how GraceHaven engages with you. Sermon preparation workspaces walk you through observation, interpretation, synthesis, outline, and application. GraceHaven courses provide structured learning in hermeneutics, exegesis, and homiletics.

A secure File Vault that encrypts sensitive pastoral documents on your own computer, not on our servers. A 12-month grace period. And your founding rate is locked for the life of your membership.

Scholar Membership

For the serious Bible student who needs deep study tools without the pastoral features. Multiple sessions organized into nested, editable folders, full-text search, bookmarks, Greek and Hebrew interlinear text, and over 340,000 cross-references. Your Scholar price is locked for life.

A tool you can put in their hands

Every pastor knows the need. Members who want to grow in the Word, who have questions they do not know how to answer, who would benefit from personal discipleship but whose pastor cannot be everywhere at once. GraceHaven was built for them.

It teaches people how to study Scripture for themselves. The Socratic method asks questions, builds understanding progressively, and meets each person where they are. It does not tell people what to think. It teaches them how to think through the text.

Recommend GraceHaven to the people in your congregation who are hungry to learn. It does not replace you. It prepares them to engage with you more deeply.
