GraceHaven
How GraceHaven handles, references, and attributes the biblical text.
GraceHaven is designed to assist with Scripture-governed reflection and study. Scripture is treated as authoritative and external to the system.
GraceHaven does not claim interpretive authority and does not replace personal Bible study, pastoral teaching, or church oversight. Scripture references and quotations are used to point members to the biblical text itself — not to function as sermons, pronouncements, or spiritual directives.
GraceHaven’s use of Scripture is guided by the grammatico-historical approach, seeking the plain meaning of the biblical text as understood in its original language, context, and redemptive framework.
This approach governs how Scripture is referenced and quoted but does not constitute authoritative interpretation or replace responsible biblical study under qualified human teachers.
When Scripture is quoted verbatim, the default translation is the Legacy Standard Bible (LSB), unless otherwise specified. Scripture is ordinarily referenced by citation rather than quotation, in order to encourage direct engagement with the biblical text.
Scripture may be quoted verbatim when:
Quotation length is limited according to GraceHaven’s internal Scripture usage guidelines. Scripture is not quoted in crisis contexts or as a substitute for emergency or professional care.
In limited cases, GraceHaven may reference or quote other English translations when clarity requires or when explicitly requested. Such use does not indicate endorsement of multiple interpretive standards and remains subject to GraceHaven’s Scripture usage guidelines.

GraceHaven presents Scripture as Scripture. All decisions, actions, and applications remain the responsibility of the member. GraceHaven is a tool for reflection and study — not a conscience, shepherd, or authority.
GraceHaven points members to the Word of God.
It does not stand in front of it.
